I work as a Pre Press Artworker for a cylinder engraver operating in the Gravure, Decorative and Embossing markets. Beforehand I worked remotely as a Pre Press Operator with a pharmaceutical packaging company. I created and amended artwork to customer requirements, created proofs, checked print ready files to supplied files for accuracy, planned and stepped up files, provided technical support to customers, and supported the QA team for customer visits and audits whilst adhering to ISO9001, PS9000, BRC, FSC and PEFC. Previously I had an enforced break from the print trade and worked as a transport planner ensuring trusted, reliable delivery of parcels, pallets and documents for any businesses both locally and internationally - the main aim being to take the worry of shipping goods away from clients and to provide a first class service for minimal cost. Being fully conversant with Journese software and Haulage Exchange along with a local network of drivers enables me to make this possible and to plan effectively.For twenty years previous to this I worked as an Apple Mac Artworker with a good knowledge of litho, flexo and digital print. I used Esko Automation Engine workflows along with Artpro+. I also used Adobe illustrator, photoshop, indesign and Artpro. Working alongside clients I amended existing artwork and created artwork from scratch. I also converted files to make them printable for various printing processes
