Served as the event director for the RiverCity Festival; an annual festival taking place in Penn Treaty Park. The event celebrates the culture, neighbors and businesses of the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. The daylong event includes a 5k run, live music, food, hospitality tent, vendors and activities for the entire family. I manage a $40,000 budget, a planning staff of 12 and 100 volunteers on the day of the event. Responsibilities include budgeting, fundraising, planning and logistics for an event that draws nearly 10,000 attendees. In its history, the event has raised over $40,000 for the Fishtown Neighbors Association to fund neighborhood projects.
