Consumer Rock International is headed up by Neil Brimacombe, a veteran in the FMCG sector with 30 years of Blue chip strategic and operational management experience in managing branded consumer goods entities across multiple geographies. Europe, and Latin America. In 1999 he took up the role of Confectionery marketing director for Tiger Brands Ltd, and later in 2002 was appointed divisional MD. Neil was appointed to the Tiger Brands Board of directors in 2009 In 2010 he took up the role of Tiger Brands business executive for their International operations in Africa and South America, with domestic responsibility for their Homecare, personal care and Baby care divisions being added to this in 2013. Neil resigned from Tiger Brands in Jan 2017 to set up Consumer Rock Int (Pty) Ltd, a boutique and specialist FMCG Management Consulting entity with an emphasis on helping FMCG companies realise and optimise their Africa growth ambitions. Neil Has served on the boards of many of the continents giants in FMCG, including Tiger Brands in South Africa, Chococam in Cameroon, Deli Foods and UAC foods in Nigeria, Carozzi in Chile and Peru, EATBI in Ethiopia, Haco in Kenya, and National Foods in Zimbabwe.

He was the Chair of the Confectionery Industry Association, in a bid to shut down illegal confectionery imports. He did significant value chain re-engineering to remove noteworthy annualised business cost in order to match global best practice standards.During Neil’s time in this role, he achieved record market shares across all his categories. This included record volumes, sales, EBIT and operating margins. In 2006 Neil led the successful acquisition Nestlé sugar confectionery business and Bromor Foods (Beverages) from Cadbury Schweppes PLC. In 2007, after record operating margins of Dairybelle in 2006, Neil led the successful disposal of Dairybelle to Standard Bank private equity. -
