I am an experienced consultant, creator, facilitator and manager working across academic research, software engineering, film exhibition and theatre.As Director of the Software Sustainability Institute, I work with research communities across the UK and globally to promote and enable the improvement of research software practice through consultative advice; collaborative partnerships; facilitated learning and skills development; policy development and advocacy; and long-term community engagement. In other roles, I am an emerging playwright selected for Playwrights' Studio Scotland's 2020 Mentored Playwrights development programme and Traverse Theatre's inaugural 2022 Creating Space development programme, and a published author of short fiction and poetry. I am also an experienced film festival Jury Coordinator and have extensive experience supporting and liaising with guests and speakers in Guest Services roles.I am skilled at problem analysis, managing teams (including volunteers), and facilitating workshops and panels.
