Experienced Audio Visual Account Director with a 30 year history of working in the AV industry. Excellent relationship builder and strong customer service focus.My AV experience began in 1989 when I joined Electrosonic as a stock controller. I was promoted to buyer where I made purchasing decisons and had weekly production meetings with our factory.I had a passion to get into sales and did a year as an internal sales support. In 1995 I was offered an external role selling Electrosonic branded AV products and solutions both to end users and resellers.Preferring the reseller route, I left Electrosonic and joined Steljes in 1999, just as flat screen plasma displays were launched. My role was to sell Fujitsu displays to a UK wide reseller network. Spending the majority of my life in my car, I developed a loyal band of resellers across the UK, the majority of which operated in the leisure and hospitality markets and this became a focus for me.In April 2006, I moved to join up and coming AV distributor Midwich. I had been keeping an eye on their ever expanding brand line up and felt the time was right for me to make the leap. I have now been with the group for 13 years so guess this was the right move! I bought with me a significant new customer base for Midwich. I am very grateful for the faith put in me by those resellers who followed me, and also to Midwich who supported me by offering credit lines to said resellers, with the back up of an excellent internal account management team.Over the last 13 years I progressed to managing the AV team at Midwich, followed by 7 years as General Manager at Owl Visual, managing a team of 15 people and increasing turnover from £10 to £28 million over this period. I took on a role as account director in January 2019, managing the commercial relationships with some of the larger Owl Visual and Midwich accounts.In my spare time I like to be outdoors, enjoying walking, mountain biking, and travelling.
