As a Project Manager at MCI I was responsible for the development, production and delivery of projects from proposal, to delivery, to debrief and final reconciliation line with client’s requirements.Some specific responsibilities with my role as Project Manager:- to deliver events on time within budget and to meet and exceed client’s expectations.- to actively set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities on every project.- to provide leadership, direction and support to the team whilst maintaining motivation and enthusiasm to successfully deliver the project.- to travel on site and project manage events as required often in international locations.- to be fully responsible for all project budgets from conception through to reconciliation.- to drive for excellence in customer service and quality delivery.

I first gained experience in events management when I was recruited as a member of the Coca-Cola Events Team from July 2005 – July 2007. I had involvement in numerous larges scale public events:Coca-Cola Talent School, June 2006, Belfast Waterfront Hall, 800 general public attended• Head of event team responsible of creating a theme for the event, managing an onsite team of 10 people.North West 200, May 2007, 2,000 general public attended• Head of event team responsible for sampling over 2,000 products to the general public.• Responsible for all branding and ensuring maximum exposure of the brand.• Liaising with course officials to agree on Coca-Cola’s involvement with the event.Ulster Rugby 2005 – 2007, 3,000 general public attended• Responsible for Powerade’s presence at Ulster Rugby matches at Ravenhill. Responsibilities included branding the stadium, sampling to the general public and Ulster team.The experience of working on large scale events with Coca-Cola confirmed my decision to pursue a career in event management and I decided to take a 6 month break from Coca-Cola to study a Postgraduate Diploma in Event Management and Public Relations in Dublin. This course taught me the skills and requirements needed to work in the events management industry. Through this Postgraduate Diploma I gained additional experience at Gyro International (a global event marketing organisation) where I completed a 3 month placement as an event executive.
