• Managed Lenovo’s storage resell and OEM portfolio relationship with strategic partners helping to grow revenue to $200M. • Led team on the development and delivery of new storage products from conception through release. Maintained schedules, managed risk mitigation planning, managed budget, and managed resources. • Led joint innovation initiatives with partners to bring new offerings to market by combining unique IP from both companies. Coordinated cross functional roadmap planning, business case definition, technical requirements gathering, and go to market definition. • Managed Lenovo’s storage resell and OEM portfolio relationships (for example, with IBM, EMC). Led cross functional weekly meetings with partners. Developed and communicated requirements, coordinated roadmaps and schedules, negotiated pricing, and negotiated marketing development funds.• Led a cross functional team that reduced the order-to-customer fulfillment process of storage by 55% (from 10 weeks to 4.5 weeks). Team consisted of cost engineers, IT, manufacturing planners, procurement managers, and supply chain engineers that designed and implemented a streamlined order and fulfillment process.• Organized and led quarterly business reviews. Developed presentations, organized agenda, led breakout sessions, and tracked output actions.

• Led the integration of the Joint Venture (LenovoEMC) into Lenovo’s Enterprise Business Group by identifying redundancies that led to >20% savings in the first year. • Led storage product usability team on GUI design, usability reviews, and end-user documentation creation. Led team in designing and developing an updated web-based GUI that reduced support calls by 30% by introducing ease-of-use features and simplifying the out-of-box experience.• Tracked and drove cross functional R&D team to develop specifications, build proof-of-concepts, develop solutions, manage risk mitigation plans, and meet budget and schedule commitments. • Earned the Enterprise Business Group’s Individual Excellence Award, FY13/14 for leading the release of Lenovo’s first Windows Storage Server product. Developed business case, coordinated with partner (Microsoft), led the proof-of-concept, and product development. • Created executive level presentations on enterprise storage, converged platforms, software defined storage, and flash storage markets and opportunities. Developed strategic portfolio recommendations for organically developed and OEM partner developed storage products.

• Led a global team of 12 Technical Writers and managed release of all host application product documentation (specifications, technical documentation, and product documentation) for 30 Symmetrix enterprise storage software products and multiple hardware platforms. Responsible for documentation release planning, technical direction, quality, product direction, capital planning, and personnel development.• Led usability programs for all product feature development and helped define technology strategy for EMC's software defined storage (SDS) product LifeLine, which held 10% PELS market share at its peak. • Designed and created the functional interface and user experience for the Iomega v.Clone software that earned Popular Mechanics: Top Products at CES 2010 and WSJ: Ten for ‘10: New Gadgets for Home and Away. The v.Clone product was innovative virtualization software that enabled users to create a virtual copy of Windows on a DAS drive. • Served on the Vice President’s Core Development Team (vCDT) that defined roadmaps for the Symmetrix product lines, scoped features, and set business priorities.

• Provided technical and project leadership to a team of 5 technical writers, writing process documents for all stages of content delivery and supporting tools. Scheduled documentation deliverables, managed resources, coordinated production processing, and delivered on schedule a major release of storage management software documentation totaling 12 product guides.• Proposed, developed, and managed a major initiative to single-source all man pages, online help, and –h command line output. The six month initiative required definition of scope, creating a proof of concept, managing development effort by a team of 5 engineers, testing, and communication rollout of the tool to hundreds of engineers and QA resources.• Documentation lead on EMC's software defined storage (SDS) stack named LifeLine. Participated in UI design and usability, created help documentation, wrote whitepapers, led localization effort, and managed one consultant technical writer.• Documented EMC’s Storage Management Initiative – Specification (SMI-S; developed by the Storage Networking Industry Association [SNIA]) compliant provider.

• Wrote system administrator documentation for patented web security software. • Re-designed simple administrative HTML interface to improve usability.• Created an Adobe FrameMaker template for user documentation and white papers.

• Managed a team of eight full-time technical writers and two consultants. Hired new employees, set performance expectations, coordinated project workloads and schedules, established milestone-driven deliverables, and ensured projects were completed on schedule.• Successfully managed over 20,000 pages of documentation including two major software releases each requiring sixty-four supporting manuals and release notes.

• Designed, wrote, and edited over 150 multimedia courses for IT professionals. • Developed standards for assembling course product, created a production-training guide, and trained a Japanese development team from IBM for one month on the production process. Coordinated proof-of-concept development for IBM’s team using CCI’s processes.• Scripted specialized instructional content, including Screen Cams and Audio Coaches, for a ten CD instructional series shipped in the release of Powersoft’s PowerBuilder 5.0.
