Examples of Accomplishments and Recent Projects-Experience in developing PowerBI dashboards for IoT projects -Managed a team of researchers collecting data on over 150 cybersecurity software tools for the Air Force Cyber Resiliency Office for Weapon Systems (CROWS). -Led the development of two Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) proposals. Both were awarded. -Planned and created an online course of instruction on Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) within the context of a military headquarters. This introductory course consisted of ~8 hours of training, describing critical processes, and tasks. It also addressed the planning cycle and culminated in a practical exercise. The Information Management Officer Qualification course has been published on the Marine Corps learning management system. -Software Project Management. -Employed the Agile development methodology to create a mobile application (iOS, Android, progressive web applications) that facilitates the check-in process of service members at Camp Lejeune. -Managed the development, testing, and transition of the Integrated Clinical Management-Risk Mitigation System (ICM-RMS) to Marine Corps Systems Command as a new program of record.-Conducted a year-long effort that analyzed over 160 communication systems, providing recommendations for integration into a consolidated system of systems to be used for senior-level decision-making. Addressed numerous issues of interoperability and security.-Initiated, developed, and published the first command-wide II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) Staff Action Guidebook. Maintained modifications and publication of five versions of this document.-Briefed executive leadership council on many occasions on several different projects.-Completed Information Management Office (IMO) Manning Analysis.-Developed the IKM Change Management Plan for the IMO.

Oversaw current and future G-6 operations projects and sustainment efforts for the eastern region. Unified the various G-6 sections into a more cohesive team. When presented with an accelerated timeline for system installation into a new building, marshaled a project team of specialists to identify available resources and develop a new project timeline to accomplish this mission. The team was successful and the building was able to be occupied on-schedule. Identified the need and provided a plan for a standardized and consistent use of IT resources designed to enhance efficiency within the organization. Provided the Assistant Chief of Staff G-6 with a detailed after business analysis action assessment for the March through May (90-day) time period.

Responsible for aligning command level priorities with available communication resources. Manage concept development and procurements of emerging technologies. Lead the cyber defense and network operations division consisting of certification and accreditation package management for individual systems, as well as for exercises and operationally deployed networks. Managed the creation of a consolidated Marine run help desk supporting unclassified and classified network service support to the II MEF command element customer base. Other services the help desk manages are Public Key Infrastructure, government Blackberry device management, video teleconferences, and VOIP. Managed multiple unclassified and classified computer refreshes consisting of thousands of workstations. Independent communication planning and research projects include: USMC Crisis Response Command & Control, design and development of a database to track availability of critical low density/high demand communication equipment, and in coordination with a leading military contractor, the development of business process models, organizational hierarchies, as well as a comprehensive Information Systems Analysis identifying 134 systems in 10 functional categories. Each system was prioritized and evaluated for redundancy, availability of training support, cost to the MEF, and complexity of install and management. This project was adopted by HQMC and applied across the other like-organizational units ( I MEF & III MEF). Initiated and lead a Knowledge Management (KM) analysis initiative within the II MEF Command Element above and beyond regular duties within the G-6. This project consisted of developing a best practices Information Management/Knowledge Management Guidebook, aka, the "Staff Action Guidebook." This Knowledge Management project also encompassed the development of a new Welcome Aboard Seminar and a Strategic Implementation Plan.

Worked in the II Marine Expeditionary Force G-6 (Communication Section). Provided communication integration services, project management services, and technical advice/expertise to a two star General Officer, his staff, three major subordinate elements (the Marine Air Wing, the Marine Logistics Group, the Marine Division), as well as, to other subordinate commands. At this level of command, I supervise teams of planners and manage the installation, operation, and maintenance of major communication system architectures and their accompanying command and control systems in support of national and international exercises and operations. Projects that I have managed:1. Coordinated command and control equipment and personnel support to operation Martillo, II MEF Forward deployment preparation, deployments of the 22, 24, 26 MEU, Special MAGTF Crisis Response deployments, Exercises Combined Endeavor, WTI, ITX, Atlantic Response. 2. Personally orchestrated the re-design of the G-6, as well as the II MEF Information Technology service desk. The Information Technology Officer's accomplishments and duties: ACCOMPLISHMENTS- managed the implementation of a commercial wireless implementation project consisting of hundreds of access points covering the three primary Marine bases in Helmand Province, Afghanistan- conceived, designed, and procured an emergency callbox wireless communication system for Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan- collapsed and converted many disparate service desk systems into a consolidated BMC Remedy implementationDUTIES- manage projects at the direction of the Regional Command South West Communication Officer (C6)- bringing resources to the organization- writing technical policy- writing and managing contracts- developing technical solutions to resolve operational problems- provides expert analysis and guidance to knowledge management and information management working groups- approves technology purchases from subordinate organizations to ensure compliance with policies

MAGTF stands for Marine Air Ground Task Force. TC is for Training Command. MAGTF-TC, located at 29 Palms, California is the lead agency in the USMC responsible for training all elements of the MAGTF. The area of modeling and simulation in which I'm currently working, trains individual Marines, small teams, and staffs. These training events comprise the final phase of the Marines Corps training prior to departing for combat operations. The network security position involved, managing server-side anti-virus software, war-driving the base in search of rogue wireless networks, interfacing and managing the integration of the NMCI aboard Camp Lejeune, advising the director of the Network Operations and Security Branch on policy, managing physical security of buildings and rooms for organizations that desired to implement SIPRNET points of presence, building cases on violators of the base information assurance policy for prosecution, and educating unit leadership on proper use of the Camp Lejeune Regional Network. In addition to these duties I also served as a special assistant to a defense attorney in a case involving misuse of government computers/networks.

As the Marine Wing Support Group (MWSG) 27 Communication officer I planned, coordinated, and executed communication capabilities within the headquarters and among the 4 subordinate commands.

As the communication officer of a Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, I was responsible for a $1.7 million inventory of communication equipment and vehicles. I was responsible to the commanding officer for advising, planning, and supporting squadron events that required data network, VHF, UHF, and HF radio communications.

This division of D&T was a healthcare architectural planning and consulting group called, "The Douglass Group." Conducted business process analysis and made recommendations toward efficiencies within the client hospital or healthcare organization. These proposals included analysis of annual radiology visits on particular equipment types, projecting the following year's workload and making recommendations for more/less equipment, defining the location and amount of the accompanying space new equipment in the hospital would require, and projecting increased parking requirements and projecting location and number of additional parking whether in a surface lot or a vertical construction project. Additionally, we conducted space planning efforts which could be in the form of an additional wing of the hospital. Specific duties consisted of data analysis, graphic design/document layout, construction of site plans, floor plans, and models for the purpose of demonstrating the concepts we were proposing to the client, as well as for marketing and other project work in the healthcare industry.
