London

This role had me assisting as a juniour technician, working in VectorWorks, Revit and AutoCAD depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Typical projects extended from residential refurbishment scaling up to new builds and hospitality such as hotels. I worked under senior technicians for structural engineers executing drawings and discussing construction sequences and developing surveys into construction general arrangements, steel and concrete detailing with a small amount of reinforcement drawing, additionally a varying amount of drainage layout and detailing was needed in this role. Through regular technician reviews my skills and experience increased significantly.

Primarily working on engineering details for a modern intervention on a listed building in Hampton. This position involves liaising with senior colleagues, discussing with architect resolving the design and also site meetings. Additionally, working on various smaller and intermediate projects in the south east of England. Working with AutoCAD LT 2012

My role as a technologist at Holden Harper has me working on detail drawings, planning applications, 3D modelling, and working as office IT manager. Software used: Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2013, Nemetschek Vectorworks 2014 Architectect + Renderworks. Additiontally Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office 2013.

In order to supplement unpredictable income from my nascent business at DevMatters, I work part-time for my previous employer. Skills such as: route planning, time management, effective communication (with customers & head office) and using my own initiative to deal with situations as they appear are daily occurrences.

Africa

At the end of August 2010 (and 18 months of planning), I set off on my motorbike with Cape Town in my sights. 4 months later I arrived in Cape Town (South Africa) having crossed the Middle East, and east Africa, on a life changing travel experience. Dartford

As above, although full-time; in order to save for above trip.

The role of this placement put me in charge of a CAD lab in the architecture faculty during the evenings, where I gave technical assistance to students with varying levels of computer problems. I was also required to perform maintenance on computers and plotters. Additionally, I assisted with plotting/printing issues and was responsible for managing the contracts for these services.

This was a summer placement during my architecture degree where I worked alongside the architect to draft plans and elevations/sections of proposed buildings for clients. This was a valuable learning experience, where my AutoCAD skills were strengthened by learning industrial drafting conventions and sharing knowledge with other team members. During this time I also conducted interior building surveys for renovations.

During this role part of my duty was to improve on existing website while providing consultation on further web technology for company scalability.

Conducting as-built surveys of Bellway Homes's Hither Green hospital site.

Assisted in the construction of Aura Peckham (SE. London). Set out concrete slab/columns/walls, all the way to snagging final finish units.
