• Developed new procedures and maintained a quality welding program. Executed oil analysis and condition-based monitoring of mine mobile heavy equipment, including structural and component life tracking. Created.
• Minimized downtime by maintaining overall health of all mining equipment such as shovels, drills, loaders, and haul trucks.
• Performed annual non-destructive testing on shovels and drill to track the overall health of the equipment and determine critical repair plans if need be.
• Ensured quality welding program was executed in accordance with company procedures to reduce risk, ensure safety and conformation to standard quality.
• Developed the Annual NDT Inspection scope in On-Plan to digitize the entire inspection process.

Fort Mcmurray

• Contributed to Suncor’s various spring and fall plant shutdowns between 2016 – 2018 by performing technician and technical report writer responsibilities.
• Performed Suncor MSS tailings inspections (ultrasonic thickness on tailings lines), monitoring and replacing spools as needed to prevent leakages.
• Worked on CEDA tailings pipeline project (magnetic particle inspection and ultrasonic thickness testing on pipelines to ensure project completion in a timely manner and in accordance with Suncor standards.
• Served as technical report writer for oiler shutdown, maintaining accurate record of inspection results.
• Assisted in phased array of blow down line by scanning all bends and critical areas on line.
• Participated in auto scan on common header on tailings pipelines (about 10 kms), leading to few section changeouts and preventing pipes from bursting.
