About Neil Kesterson

I have been in the audio recording/post business since 1984. I worked for two companies (House of Commons, and Host Communications) for nearly 20 years before starting my own business. During this time, I have won, or helped my clients win, hundreds of awards. These include many Addys, Tellys, and others. In 2009, a project I did sound design for, "The Monkees" (A&E Biography) was nominated for an Emmy.I specialize in sound-for-picture. I believe my training as a musician (as well as my love for movies) has helped me to craft the sounds that enhance the visuals. I also have extensive experience in advertising, live radio broadcast (including network), music, corporate communications, and spoken word.In 2023, I released my first book, "Push the Right Buttons: A Practical Guide to Becoming and Succeeding as an Audio Engineer and Producer". I self-produced the documentary "The Beat of a Different Drummer: The Story of the Last American All-Female Military Band" that has played worldwide on public television and other networks.Specialties: sound-for-picture, narration, broadcast advertising, live broadcast, audiobooks, podcasts, sound reinforcement
