I am responsible for managing all operational related employees to ensure an efficient, safe operation which meets and exceeds critical daily departure and delivery deadlines. Additionally, I continue to analyze, assess and streamline various aspects of both our local operations and the affect we have on a larger company wide scale. The results of implementing several new procedures, which I developed, have helped to improve local operational efficiency, at no additional cost. Furthermore, these measures have helped staff to be better prepared to accommodate last minute customer requests without jeopardizing our on-time departures.-Manage an operation of 18 staff members, ensuring all aspects of operations are fully staffed-Coordinate with third party service providers to ensure proper procedures are being followed during all aspects of handling and loading our aircrafts-Work with Duty Managers to create and implement contingency plans in the event of operational disruptions-Responsible for all staffing related issues, including: scheduling, approving time off and bi-weekly payroll, and overseeing the hiring process or terminations-Ensure staff helps maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction-Operate within station budget parameters-Participate in and oversee Workplace Health & Safety Committee and site inspections

Flight load planning of cargo aircraft for 767-200ER, 767-300ER, 757-200ER and 727-200AF Boeing aircrafts. Responsible for ensuring proper planning of weight and balance of aircrafts, directing and delegating tasks to several staff members in a fast paced and high pressure environment; which involves, communicating with customers, to ensure correct acceptance of shipments and revisions of all domestic and international documentation is completed, ensuring proper security procedures and documentation are followed and implemented, and coordination with company and third party ground staff to ensure proper planning and organization of cargo, with daily audits of up to 100,000 lbs of cargo, to ensure tight daily scheduling and departure deadlines are met.

Responsible for maintaining accurate paperwork of daily shipments. Organizing and planning daily shipments, directing warehouse staff and third party contractors to ensure proper SOPs were followed and tight daily deadlines were met.

MSc Thesis examined a new technique to directly determine the age of Crustaceans, focused on the American lobster (Homarus americanus), with an associated chemical tagging experiment. Parts of my MSc were incorporated into the first publication of this technique, published in the Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (November 2012). In December 2014 I decided to take a break from my studies in order to enter the workforce.

Contract work for Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Saint Andrews Biological Station (Saint Andrews, NB), to work aboard various commercial lobster vessels to collect catch and measurement data to be used in annual stock assessment.

Company contracted by DFO to monitor commercial fishing operations; Measured and recorded sub-samples of catches aboard commercial fishing vessels, as well as making estimates on total catch weight. Verified traps were set within legal areas, while documenting and reporting any violations.
