As a former senior investigator with HMRC, and someone who has dealt with all levels of HMRC enquiries since leaving the department some ten years ago, I have a wealth of experience working in tax. I have a wide-range of experience and knowledge overseeing COP8 and COP9 enquiries, as well as large cross-tax cases, investigations and employer reviews. I also have extensive experience as a Research and Development specialist, and deal with claims to HMRC under the SME and large company schemes, including the new Research and Expenditure Credit (RDEC). At Raffingers, I am responsible for overseeing their Research and Development claims, which has involved qualifying R&D expenditure of £8million and resulted in tax credit repayments and corporation tax savings of over £1.3million.Whether someone needs straightforward tax advice or has received a tax enquiry letter, I am able to support them.When I am not at work, you will find me gigging around Essex with my band, Frog on a Rocket
