A key member of a new project team that achieved the successful go live of a new SAP BPC reporting system following previous project challenges.

• Infor BI planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting subject matter expert (SME) and member of the Financial Systems Strategy team responsible for group wide systems. Tasks include:
• Defining requirements and providing good practice input and business challenge.
• Designing, building and demonstrating Infor BI prototypes that met complex business reqs.
• Running project team and stakeholder workshops, training and coaching.
• Project and vendor management support.

Worked with clients to define their detailed financial systems requirements then designed and proposed appropriate solutions including building sophisticated prototypes. UK Business Analytics lead.

Used subject matter expertise to help clients improve their consolidation, reporting and planning processes and systems. SAP BPC (BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation) capability network leader.

• Delivered full life cycle client projects using Infor’s BI and EPM (d\EPM) software suites, including financial consolidation, and associated products (Oracle, MS SQL Server and MS Analysis Services).
• Provided group accounting and financial systems consultancy to clients.
• Developed and maintain a financial systems project delivery capability by training staff and producing standards/best practice guides based on own skills and experience.
• Performed the role of UK design authority for Infor’s Consolidation product (EPM Financial Consolidation) and provided financial reporting expertise to the global development team.
• Assisted sales of Infor’s software and professional services to new and existing clients by demonstrating Infor’s capability to meet their requirements with the combination of Infor software and professional services.

Managed four workstreams (sequentially) comprised of client, consulting firm and third party staff whilst also taking a hands on role in the workstream’s delivery. The workstreams were:1) Data conversion which defined an agreed strategy for converting financial data from UK GAAP to IFRS2) Data migration which designed, built and ran the FDC (Geac/Comshare).

Responsible for the delivery of full life cycle CLIME (PwC’s group consolidation software now SAP BFC) and Cognos (BI and Planning) projects to major organisations. Project roles ranged from sole functional specialist to managing medium sized teams and included running workshops, software selection, training, system roll outs and running live.

Implemented new statutory, management and budget group reporting systems and subsequent annual update. Ran consolidation system processes and produced accounts for head office entities.

Ran the accounting function and commercial management of a new retail subsidiary created from acquisitions and a franchise operation. Managed 3 staff. Provided financial input to operational management

Ran the factory accounting function in a chemical plant.
