My role consists of managing the year end accounts function (and other related tasks) for the portfolio of smaller corporate clients the office represents by overseeing the department responsible.This encompasses liaising with the office partners and other client relationship managers to schedule work and supervise its completion to the high standard expected. I am required to contact clients on behalf of office partners and I am often involved in meetings with clients to discuss annual results.I complete accounts preparation for the more complex accounts preparation tasks within the portfolio, and I am required to review the accounts preparation files of junior colleagues.The job involves numerous deadlines to be met, both internal and external which require to be constantly monitored. There is also a training element to my role where I pass on experience to newer members of staff, and I am involved in the line management of daily staff duties and the performance appraisal of certain colleagues.
