My story begins with a squeeze flashlight.After graduating University & College with a major in Marketing, I came across a Pressalite flashlight & thought it was an ingenious way that brands could market themselves & customers could buy at a retail level. My drive & my entrepreneurial spirit motivated me to research and reach out to the right contact at the flashlight company. I invested in a bulk order & I began selling these flashlights to campers in Algonquin Park. As my revenue grew, I realized this idea had potential to grow much larger. I built relationships with the marketing managers at Algonquin Outfitters, Roots, Northern Reflections and Home Hardware & worked closely with these brands to help them profit from this logo-branded product at the retail level.The flashlight company Pressalite became aware of my retail success story & hired me as their National Sales Manager in the Promotional Products industry. I travelled throughout Canada to help build their business as a supplier. After selling flashlights exclusively for eight years, in 2001 I decided to expand my company to represent various suppliers.Having over 25 years of experience, I understand this industry from both the manufacturer and the distributor perspective. Whether I'm working hands on at trade shows, helping to promote manufacturer/supplier brands or simplifying complex processes and technology, my team and I work alongside our distributor partners to ensure they receive the highest quality of customer service.I strongly believe in the power of promotional products industry. In the spirit of collaboration, I founded PromoExpo in 2005 to help empower our industry at large.
