Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) is the world’s largest Brewer with 200,000 employees and over 400 beer brands; having recently acquired SABMiller.In my capacity as Global CAPEX Director within the Convergence (Integration) team, based in the UK Head Office, I managed the Manufacturing Capital Expenditure and led the Fluids & Energy Efficiency improvement across the three new (Legacy SABMiller) Zones.

In the year ended 31 March 2016, SABMiller sold 331 million hectolitres of lager,soft drinks and other alcoholic beverages, generating group net producer revenue of US$24.1 billion and EBITA of US$5.8 billion. On 10 October 2016,SABMiller was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev in a transaction valued at US$104 billion making it the fourth largest M&A deal globally and largest ever takeover of a UK-listed company. Before the takeover by AB InBev, SABMiller was a FTSE-10 company with dual-listings on the London Stock Exchange and Johannesburg Stock ExchangePart of the Group Technical team, based at the Global Headquarters, I manage the WEER (water, energy and emissions reduction) initiative for the organisation.Working closely with the technical directors and engineering managers around the group, a strategy to deliver the water efficiency and energy savings has been implemented.
