I was also brought in as a .NET expert to help mentor both senior and junior colleagues who were largely unfamiliar with .NET development, to offer guidance, best practices and pairing to ensure the team could meet the project goals. Following the success of the initial project, I was consequently asked to stay on and develop a further application that enables pharmaceutical companies to access insights from heterogeneous and bespoke data sources. Both applications use .NET Core microservices with Elastic Search and SQL repositories. ASP.NET Core and React are used for the web portal front ends together with Webpack and Jest tests, with Jenkins and Octopus being employed for the CI/CD.
