Working for a leading Technology Software firm, I focused on BIM and Lean for the Lifecycle of Building Management. Organizations use EcoDomus for Capital Assets Data Management well as to streamline processes and workflows. I work closely with these organizations to obtain and then implement this innovative solution to help mitigate the problem of inadequate interoperability between design, construction and operations by integrating various systems used for building lifecycle management, such as Building Information Models (BIM), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Facilities Management Systems (FMS), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). By integrating these previously separate silos I was able to help Facility Managers increase their ability to analyze operational data, thus enabling a holistic approach to capital asset management.

Retained as an External Construction Manager for McDonald's restaurants. In that role I was to act as the owners agent in every aspect related to the construction and remodel of several restaurants. This included working with Field and Home Office Development groups to support implementation of savings captures initiatives related to restaurant remodels and renovation. This includes holding meetings with franchise operators, obtaining all necessary permits and dealing with municipalities, dealing with McDonald vendors (kitchen equipment, mechanical equipment, beverage equipment, refrigeration contractors, etc.), selecting project contractors, negotiating agreements, managing change orders, and project close-out.

I was retained by RIB to establish the new central USA office, this required extensive cold calling, introductory face to face meetings with C level executives, and presentations to boards of directors and various committees and decision makers. The company decided to abandon the Chicago operation shortly after opening the office.

CSS was a construction management company which helped clients navigate the design, permit, and construction process. Directed all aspects of the corporation’s activities including, but not limited to: marketing, sales, estimating, client relationships, project management, financing, and human resources. Represented the company at public and private functions serving as the company liaison to municipalities, owners, contractors, and others as necessary. Planned, monitored, and controlled corporate activities. Personally directed the construction of Fenwal Blood Technologies $8,000,000.00 design build world headquarters, including the relocation of working medical laboratories without disrupting experimentation schedules. Managed multiple simultaneous construction projects from inception, through construction and final billing including the deployment of over 7000 Redbox locations on a nationwide basis and over 100 McDonald’s restaurant remodels and rebuilds in the greater Chicago and Milwaukee region.

Led team of project managers, field staff and consultants in the development and implementation of the corporate wide safety program; key aspects of the program included a comprehensive company safety manual, along with an ongoing employee training program. Directed the task force to standardize the project management system which lead to the implementation of Primavera Expedition, and served as the System Administrator.
