I knew the only way to turn things around was to get in the field fast and spend time with everyone. As I listened to customer issues I took careful notes and detailed next steps to remedy their issues. This disarmed them and I was then able to ask probing questions about their business and challenges. Armed with that information, I created proposals that quantified their current costs, the impact of a new printer on running costs, production speed, and new revenue opportunities. Then, I closed with the expected return over the next 3 years and impact on their business overall. Taking them down this path allowed me to gain their trust and ultimately: • Set a record of eleven printers sold in my territory in 2017• Convert a customer of my leading competitor to all EFI printers
