To do this, I work directly with my clients, their Boards and managers to ensure objectives are set, best practices are in place and goals and objective are realized.The two primary client groups that I work with are in the construction sector and the not-for-profit realm.Engagements with our construction clients have involved such matters as: - quarterly/annual reviews or audits of financial statements - taxation analysis and planning - bonding and banking review - capital structures - review of risk management plans and development of courses of action - expansion and succession planning including cash flow and share buy/sell analysis Engagements with our not-for-profit clients have included such assignments as: - annual audits of financial statements - review of funding reconciliations - attendance at Board meetings and AGM's to review draft material, answer questions and provide background and information as necessary - review of budgeting, financial and treasury policies with appropriate recommendations - review of fundraising policies and programs relative to charitable objectivesSeeing our clients achieve their goals gives me a great deal of pride!In addition to my client responsibilities, I oversee the firm's strategic planning and professional development of the firm's professionals. Commenced employment as an accounting co-op student and was promoted upon graduation and once again upon receiving my CA designation.Clients served included private corporations in all major industries, with a specific focus on the construction and not-for-profit sectors. Services provided covered all facets of public practice, with a specific focus on financial reporting and taxation.
