Served as in-house counsel for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, U.S. Army Dental Activity, 86th Combat Support Hospital, and Warrior Transition Battalion, with seven clinics, more than 2,900 personnel, and a patient population in excess of 74,000. Oversaw all legal operations for these organizations, advising commanders, physicians and staff regarding criminal law, privacy law, HIPAA, fiscal law, ethics, and administrative law. Supervised and provided legal advice regarding contracts, quality assurance and privileging actions (10 USC 1102), formal EO investigations, criminal investigations, financial liability investigations, and administrative investigations.

Served as the Senior Prosecutor for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), one of the Army’s largest and busiest military justice offices. Supervised, led, mentored, and trained eight junior prosecutors and seven paralegals in preparation for contested proceedings. Prosecuted courts-martial (including bench and jury trials) and formal administrative hearings involving violent crimes, sexual crimes against adults and children, theft crimes, drugs, and military-specific crimes. Supervised criminal investigations in coordination with law enforcement personnel and trained junior prosecutors regarding trial advocacy, case strategy/preparation for courts-martial, motions hearings, and formal administrative hearings. Oversaw all phases of litigation and adverse administrative proceedings for the office, including preliminary hearings, plea negotiations, and pre-trial litigation for all contested trials.

Served as Administrative Law Attorney to the command and staff of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg. Reviewed administrative investigations, financial investigations, line of duty investigations, administrative separation proceedings, and unit policies for legal sufficiency.
