A C-Suite advisor to platform businesses in the omni-channel payments sector, Neil currently manages the marketplace division at one of Europe's fastest-growing technology banks and payments businesses, Viva.com. Alongside this, Neil is also an Advisory Board Member of Marketplace Risk - the leading Global institution for risk & fraud mitigation in the Platform vertical.Prior to this move into the payments space, Neil had successfully grown his own businesses within the Global marketplace and cross-border eCommerce arena, which encompassed a marketplace growth agency and also a standalone, fully-managed health & wellness marketplace and technology business. Both businesses achieved ARRs of £1m+.Previously a 10yr period in the Middle East saw Neil manage the Retail division of a specialist research & advisory company operating within the retail built environment. During this time Neil was a regular contributor to industry media, and was also the treasurer and board member of the Middle East Council of Shopping Centers (MECSC). During this time Neil was also a faculty member of the John T. Riordan School for Retail Real Estate Professionals. The later part of Neil’s time in the Gulf saw him move into the digital marketplace space, as part of the founding team of Tejuri.com, a Government (DED) funded project under the DP World banner.Operating within the international cross-border marketplace platform & eCommerce arena and more recently the related payments space for the past 15 years, Neil has held roles that have seen him launch, grow, fund, advise, consult, and build marketplace platforms. He is a frequent speaker, moderator, and chair at European & Global conferences within the marketplace, platform economy and omni-channel technology space. Neil also worked as an advisor and consultant to the UK Government, establishing and launching their Global eExporting Program. This was designed to drive cross-border growth for UK SMEs looking to trade internationally on marketplace platforms, as a result he also has strong connections across the Government and Global trade body networks.
