- Train and evaluate ship’s security staff, ensuring training records are maintained- Identify and develop a sound working relationship with existing or potential security resources, including safety and law enforcement officials in each port of call- Accident Investigation- Criminal Investigation- Ensure that each open access to the ship is properly manned and secured at all times by the department conducting operations- Taking charge of any/all security incidents- Maintain and supervise the Master Key system onboard- Perform regular security inspections of the ship- Establish and maintain a secure area shore side at all tender/boat launch ports- Control the issuance of crew identity cards and visitor passes- I/C Deck Fire Party- Developed instructor led training programs for security staff covering ship’s SMS and topics as outlined in accordance with ISPS Part B Section 13.3- Trained new hire Security Officers in all aspects of onboard duties & responsibilities

- Daily supervision of gangway operations onboard various cruise ships - Extensive training of Security Personnel in various security and social elements in accordance with the ISPS Code (i.e. Conflict Management, Threat Assessment, Equipment maintenance, et al) - Leadership and guidance of those junior in rank.- Operation of security equipment including X-Ray, Archway metal detectors, and hand held metal detectors, Trace detection equipment, and Access control stations.- Searching passengers, crew, visitors and their effects as necessary.- Conducting investigations with regards to accidents and criminal offences; writing accompanying detailed reports.- Monitoring of CCTV surveillance and recording footage as required.- Security patrols of the vessel (interior & exterior)
