Kingston FuturesRoyal Borough Of Kingston Jul 2014 - Jul 2015Kingston Upon Thames, United KingdomKingston Futures was established in 2013, by Kingston upon Thames as a branding for regeneration activity within Kingston town centre. In response to a change of leadership and a widening growth ambition Neil was brought in to transform the Kingston Futures brand into a growth delivery vehicle. Neil worked with the new administration to create a new Vision and Strategy for the Borough as a whole that was signed of as council policy in November 2014 and incorporated into the ‘Destination Kingston’ council plan. An implementation strategy quickly followed in order to generate action and intervention. A budget of £2.6m has been identified through S106 and CIL contributions and that budget has, in part, been used to generate development activity worth £1.2Bn. Three local authority owned sites are in joint venture development agreements and a total of 12 work streams with 9 new staff have been generated in 12 months from a standing start. -
