As an Aerospace Engineer at NASA, I was able to pave a challenging path from Spacecraft Designer, Structural Analysis Lead, Johnson Space Center Vibroacoustic Lab Director, to Project Manager. I have been fortunate enough to contribute my Engineering Skills to the following programs: Space Shuttle, Orion Spacecraft, International Space Station, SpaceX Dragon (design integration), Lunar Lander, Mars Lander, Robonaut, Asteroid Capture, and MMSEV. With specialties in multiphysics FEA simulation, advanced mathematical and statistical methods, failure prediction, root cause failure analysis, and occupant safety, I was able to efficiently design spacecraft structural systems with failure prediction for optimal design safety while mentoring many other bright engineers.In parallel to my work at NASA, I pursued a process invention of fabricating carbon fiber utilizing novel advancements in VARTM methodology which allowed for the low cost fabrication of carbon fiber with aerospace grade mechanical properties. This IP ultimately led to my leaving NASA in 2018 to found a prosthetic manufacturing company which fabricated carbon fiber running blades and offered the product to amputees and medical providers as a lower cost solution. That company, AerobioniX, was subsequently acquired in 2020. I was then onboarded as Chief Engineer of the fastest growing Lithium Battery Manufacturing Company in America. At BigBattery, I am tasked with providing the safest and highest quality Lithium Batteries possible. This work begins with the safest Lithium chemistries, and a rigorous design process which includes cell research, redundant safety feature design, and product testing.
