Nicholas Eisenberger is a leading pioneer and serial catalyst of the commercial and financial maturation and growth of the clean economy, with over two decades as an investor, entrepreneur, executive, and board member in Cleantech. Focused on scaling the critical climate- and carbon-tech sectors, Nicholas was an early investor in and President of Global Thermostat, a pioneering Direct Air Capture company, where he led the transformation of the company from a promising R&D project to its industry leadership and successful sale. Nicholas also led the effort to raise ~$100MM from a consortium of global energy companies and governments to launch the landmark Carbon XPRIZE and then founded the Circular Carbon Network with XPRIZE to accelerate the flow of capital and commercial activity in the sector. He also co-founded and serves as a Board Director of the CREO Syndicate, a global network of family office investors representing several trillion dollars of accumulated wealth focused on opportunities in the clean economy, where he chairs CREO´s Carbon Removal Committee. In addition, he founded and Chairs the Direct Air Capture Coalition, a global, multi-stakeholder initiative with over 100 members across 20 countries focused on educating, engaging, and mobilizing society to urgently scale DAC solutions. Currently, Mr. Eisenberger serves as the Managing Partner of Pure Energy Partners, a venture catalyst firm that invests in high-potential clean economy companies and partners with management to drive profit and impact.Previously, Mr. Eisenberger was an investor at Churchill Capital, one of the first pure play cleantech venture firms, and later founded and led several pioneering companies in the digital and clean economy sectors, before serving as Managing Principal of GreenOrder, a boutique management consulting firm focused on sustainability as a source of value creation, which he and his partners successfully sold in 2008. Called by Fortune one of the clean economy’s “Go-to-Guys,” Mr. Eisenberger is recognized for his groundbreaking work with the C-suites of global companies, including GE and its multi-billion-dollar ecomagination initiative, which he helped guide from launch. Mr. Eisenberger holds honors degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
