My role was to ensure a quality and hygiene driven culture at the Brewery by conducting hygiene audits, CIP audits and reporting on overall Micro performance in the brewery from raw ingredients to finshed product.

As the Operational Microbiologist I am responsible for ensuring ISO 17025 accreditation of Microbiological methods in The Microbiology laboratory more over I provide training and Micro-certification to Production Plants in the African Region to ensure global standard of Testing.Key Responsibilities: Lead Microbiology capabilities, development initiatives and Training plans. Provide Microbiology expertise and troubleshooting to facilitate problem solving in correlation with production plants and R& D. Support Production Plants to device robust sampling plans and Conduct Risk assessments Production Plants and raw material suppliers. Support new product introduction, guidance on micro sensitivity and risk and propose appropriate counter measures. Thorough knowledge of HACCP and ISO 17025 (certified SANAS internal auditor) to ensure and maintain adherence to Good Laboratory Practices and ISO accreditation. Ensure the microbiology laboratory is suitably equipped, resourced and maintained to perform by company standards Organize workflow task schedules and evaluation of results. Perform data audits to ensure data accuracy and reporting. Provide SME expertise, leadership, team Co-ordination and mentoring to microbiology technician and interns.
