The graduation project took place within the Communication and Industrial Solutions (CIS) division which is divided into five so-called Global Industry Business Units (GIBU’s): The research was conducted within the Manufacturing Development Engineering department (MDE).The organization supports the R&D centers.A qualitative as well as quantitative research has been conducted in order to gain a better view into the relation between the MDE department and the R&D department. The research and conclusions are based on several articles from organizational experts like: H. Mintzberg and R.L. Daft. This resulted in a very relevant advise for the organization. The advisory report and presentation was assessed by a jury with experts from Fontys Hogescholen (Yvonne Kirkels, Rene Hermans and Olivier Verstappen) and from TE Connectivity (Business coach: Robbert van de Sandt). This resulted in a unanimous grade, a 9 out of 10 for the advisory report and presentation.
