Konstant Architecture is a 15 person traditional residential firm, located in Skokie, Illinois. We are currently working on several properties across the country that range from historical renovations to luxury beach homes. My main role is developing permit, construction and interior drawings sets and assisting with design solutions. I am forming a strong understanding of the inner workings of residential architecture and the required dedication to client relationships.

Greater Chicago Area

I am the newest addition to the Chicago Healthcare team. I will be working directly with Design Architects in development of designs and supporting Design Architects in development of material for presentations.My job responsibilities include:-Conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.-Prepare and revise documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details. -Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.-Assist in the evaluation and selection of building systems and materials. -Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. -Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating. Implements sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment. -Assists in site analysis, research of concept, benchmarks, typology, and precedents.

Cleveland, Ohio

I am working with the integrated team at the Center for Design under the supervision of the award winning Architect and the Cleveland Clinic's Chief Design Officer, Chris Connell. The large scope of projects and rapid expansion of the Cleveland Clinic creates a constant work flow. I have been included in multiple levels of design. From project proposals, concept/schematic design, and presentations, to space planning and clinical renovations (OR, PT, OT, etc.), I have been given a high level of freedom with the work I am assigned. Learning how a large company operates and facilitates a constant influx of projects, from new builds to updating sprinkler systems, is paramount. Health Care design offers many challenges, with extensive standards and strong patient relations. At the Center for Design, empathetic and healthy design principles do not fall short of innovation and beauty, providing me with an incomparable experience.
