Responsible for advising on and implementing strategies to use data and technology to implement the overall strategic goals of the Office of Public Health, ensuring interoperability with existing resources, legislative mandates, federal regulations, and national informatics strategies. Defines and enforces best practices to control costs and provide higher quality. Participates in strategic planning and public health accreditation teams. Leads a team of analysts and epidemiologists to prioritize technology initiatives and coordination of the evaluation, deployment, and management of data and technologies. Created and implemented a community outreach plan to promote the tobacco-free movement in a nine-parish area. Promoted the tobacco-free living campaign through public relations development and community education, involvement and support. Chaired the Regional Tobacco Subcommittee and served on the Baton Rouge Regional Cancer Control Coalition. Advocated for and tracked legislative initiatives and strategies regarding tobacco-free legislation at the state and local level.

Co-directed the 2008 Inauguration Activities for Lt.
