As senior staff for the Bachelor of Design at Art Academy Minerva, I am closely involved in setting the direction of the Design Course. 50% of our students are international, so internationalization and intercultural calibrations are self-evident themes. Spatial design is my specialty; in the programme (Spatial design and Product Design), in student contact, in teaching, in coaching interns and students in their graduation project, as well as colleagues. Besides this, I chair several committees and curate/design the yearly graduation show.

Project Architect on projects throughout The Netherlands, with a focus on small scale residential projects and large public interiors.For example the remodelling of the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen, library interiors in Noordwijk and Amstelveen, private dwellings in Leusden and Glimmen, a 'barn boat' for Meerdstad, offices in Amersfoort and Assen.

Scouted through the Academie van Bouwkunst. As an architectural designer I worked in a team, mostly on projects in architecture, varying from housing to leisure. I also contributed to projects in urban design and interior design.Based in Groningen, but no stranger to the Rotterdam branche.

As a visiting junior designer I collaborated on the Takatori catholic church project in Kobe, that was eventually built in 2007. It replaced the temporary paper tube structure church that Shigeru Ban designed in the wake of the 1995 Kobe earthquake.

As a visiting junior designer I worked on several projects ranging from a private dwelling, the renovation of an appartment building, 1 day interior design for (a garden party in the sky ) the opening of Mori Tower, to the automotive expo Tokyo in 2003. Witnessed the birth of Pecha Kucha nights.

As a starting designer I did photography, designed the company website from scratch, designed the interior and custom made furniture for Rabobank Coevorden and contributed to several architectural projects. Jan Varekamp, founding partner, was my mentor for years.
