I lead the Built Heritage Team at the Tywi Centre, Carmarthenshire County Council – a friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional team, where we are all passionate about the care and repair of old buildings. Have a look at our website to see the sort of things we get up to: https://www.tywicentre.org.uk/My interest stems from having lived in old buildings all my life, and in returning to Wales from Edinburgh I had the opportunity to join the Tywi Team as Traditional Sustainable Building Skills Officer. I would love to see all historic buildings, both listed and non-listed, maintained and repaired using appropriate materials and methods. I am keen to help homeowners to look after their old buildings, provide listed building advice, support contractors learn new traditional building skills and generally celebrate the UK's built heritage.I am always happy to help find answers to your difficult traditional building questions.
