About Nellie Haug

Hello, I'm Nellie Haug, a medical student at Carle Illinois College of Medicine with an academic background in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While my ultimate goal is to become a clinician, I have a passion for seamlessly integrating engineering research and innovation into my future medical practice. Currently, I am on a research leave to further develop several projects and business ventures that I co-founded during my first two years of medical school. My interest in this interdisciplinary approach to medicine is reflected in the experiences highlighted below. I look forward to continuing to make meaningful contributions to healthcare through research and hands-on clinical practice, and I cannot wait to start my clinical rotations this winter!
