Working in program management I have experience bringing ideas to fruition and iterating to improve and explore possibilities. I have an extensive range of experience across communications, research, customer service, administration and quality assurance. I completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, with a major in Food Science. I was awarded a distinction for my honours year at Deakin University where I worked within the Sensory Science Research Group producing my thesis titled Differences in Chinese and Australian consumer’s quality perceptions based on milk labelling.I have worked on multiple campaigns at Youth Food Movement, for example Salvage Supperclub and Give Food Waste the Flip, and the leadership program Upstart. All were designed to nurture the development of a greater connection to, and understanding of, local food systems and improving sustainable food practices and positive health outcomes for young people. I have worked with many organisations supporting sustainable food systems and food education.I have skills in communications where I have been responsible for: - Digital marketing campaigns on Facebook and Instagram- Social media accounts in Instagram, Facebook and Twitter- Regular subscriber newsletters (Mailchimp)- Website and blogs (Wordpress)Colleagues describe me as driven, passionate, detail-oriented, organised and communicative - I’ve been known to get a laugh out of them now and then too. I am quick to learn and have established a diverse skill set working in small teams and self-managed positions.I am interested in research, education, and program management within not-for-profits, social enterprise, or any organisation taking steps towards a more sustainable, secure, safe, ethical and healthy future.
