The Experimental Station is a social hub on the Southside of Chicago, which fosters dynamic ecology of innovative educational and cultural programs, small business enterprises, and community initiatives. Starting off as a volunteer, I evolved into a cross-functional team member as the assistant to the manager of the 61st Street Farmer’s Market, mentor and Peace Circle Keeper of the youth-run bicycle shop (Blackstone Bicycle Works), and educator and horticulturist of the urban farm initiative which provided a space for hyper-local produce and continuous educational programs with both adults and youth.

A program of the Experimental Station: Illinois' leading market for serving a low-income population. I worked with Kim Werst to organize and run the weekly Farmer's Market, and coordinate urban agriculture education programs for the neighborhood's at risk youth. We maintained a Hoop House in the neighborhood, and produced a large array of organic, seasonal produce to share with the community.
