In my role as a purchaser, I’m responsible for executing procurement of spices, herbs, nuts & contract manufactured items.My role includes both monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand due to production while determining right quantity and suitable timing of deliveries. A key part of my role is to work together with our quality team to ensure our raw materials are always up to excepted quality levels. I’m also responsible for the correct invoicing and payment regarding my purchases. Moreover, supplier relationship management and open dialogue with external stakeholders is a significant part of my role. Ensuring good communication and transparency in operations is a key to success in this role.As sustainability and ethical business practices are a in a crucial role in procurement of raw materials, our procurement is guided by strict quality specifications. Hence, together with my team, evaluating and auditing suppliers and farmers is also a fundamental part of my job.
