In a rapidly progressive career spanning 2 decades as a finance leader, I have had the privilege of working with seasoned industry leaders across large corporate houses as well as many first-generation entrepreneurs. I have spent the last decade as a start-up CFO, working closely with various founder’s right from the early-stage (i.e. seed / Series A) of the company upto Series C stage; in the process helping these companies achieve leadership positions in their sectors. My role requires direct liaison with Board of Directors, management of active VC / PE investors, interaction with Senior Leadership teams and stakeholder management. I have successfully led multi-million dollar fund raises both on the equity and debt side including Venture debt and promoter funding. I have been instrumental in setting up businesses and finance function in multiple industries across various growth stages of companies. I have considerable experience of formulating and executing strategies relating to fund raise, business growth and turnaround, cost optimisation and profitability, product development and pricing, business alliances and partnerships, leveraging technology and finance analytics for long term / short term business plans, automation and ERP implementation, Investor relations and Credit rating having built and led teams across each of these. My diverse work-experience includes stints in companies in Food tech, Digital commerce, Financial services – Lending and Advisory businesses, Supply chain and Logistics, Consumer, Media and Entertainment. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI and have completed my B.Com. from Mumbai University. I am passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, sustainability, financial and social inclusion and strongly believe in the India growth story.
