I am a third-year student at Bentley University. As an economics-finance major, I enjoy the challenge of predicting future events to take advantage of opportunities and diligently working to achieve my goal. I play on the golf team at Bentley and am part of the Investment Banking Club as well as serving as the event coordinator for the Spikeball Club. This past summer at National Life, I was exposed to a variety of aspects of the company including distribution, treasury, and risk. One of my primary projects involved developing an Alteryx workflow in collaboration with a team of 3 others that made payment projections more accurate and allowed the investment team to gain clarity on how much could be invested each day. Individually, I analyzed data on Reserve Asset Accounts and created corresponding income statements to provide insight into areas of missing capitalization on assets. In three years at the Country Club of Barre, I have been required to quickly analyze and solve problems as the grounds crew is constantly facing various issues and must solve them in a rapid fashion. This has necessitated me to work efficiently and productively on multiple tasks at one time and infer what would be the best solution. When I volunteered as fundraising director for the SJA Assistance Fund, I was able to blend community outreach with social media presence to spread awareness for the cause and these efforts resulted in raising over $5000 for the Fund. I am currently looking for an internship with an insurance company with a concrete long-term vision so I can continue to learn about the industry and contribute my ability to focus on the future and reach individual and team goals.
