I am seeking to start my professional career with a solid company that can utilize my education, skills and work ethic. I graduated from Penn State University with a double major in Economics and Sociology. I chose this field of study due to my analytical nature and to discover how and why businesses fail and succeed. My educational background provides me with a unique and thorough understanding of the principles that affect businesses every day. I not only studied how people spend money, but why. I learned about business management and how it can be affected by corporate leadership and culture. I also learned how to demonstrate results through statistics and how to utilize this information to help solve problems and understand obstacles to growth.As a youth I earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Through this experience I acquired strong leadership and interpersonal skills. I learned to lead by example and how to organize and prepare for the unexpected. I realized the importance of keeping cool under duress and how to operate effectively in situations requiring quick and accurate decisions. I also dealt with the diverse concerns of my fellow scouts, their parents, and my leaders by utilizing the proper mix of authority, diplomacy, and tact.Since college I have performed data entry and financial analysis using programs such as Access and Excel to organize or reveal certain elements of data. I’ve analyzed financial scenarios and have sat in on numerous meetings at Business Value Builders, providing input on how their products should be marketed and where. I am experienced in the use of other business and analytic software such as Microsoft Office, STATA, SAS and SPSS.I am an enthusiastic achiever and fully expect to earn my way to higher positions.
