I Have 23 years with the United States Air Force Reserves. I lead a brilliant Unit (CATM) Combat Arms Training and Maintenance. We were a Specialized Unit of weapons and tactics instructors. I was responsible for ensuring that all members of my base were tactically trained for mobility, while maintaining inventory of weapons and ammunition, and ensuring that I managed my team. I retired at the rank of Master Sergeant E-7 in 2008I was also a Los Angeles Police Officer. I worked several different Divisions in South Central Los Angeles. I was part of a courageous team of officers who dared to make a difference with our youth. The Juvenile Impact Program. This group of officers that I was in charge of, took troubled juveniles who were heading down the wrong path and guided them to success while their parents took classes on being better parents. Several of these children became police officers when they were adults. There are too many great things that I could tell you about being a police officer. I believe that it has made me a better leader for having been a part of such a prestigious organization. I am proud to have served.After Retirement, I joined Verizon Wireless Corporate as a sales representative. I quickly moved into management, and then became a store manager where I was sent to stores that had plenty of opportunity. I worked with those teams and we were able to go from the bottom of the ranking structure, to the top in each store that I worked. I went to Winner's Circle every year, and even went to President's Cabinet as a manager. President's Cabinet is awarded to the top 1% of the company. Very proud of the teammates that made that possible. I had 10 years with Verizon before moving on to Blue Link Wireless.
