Inspection of the manufacturing processes to ensure an elaborate manufacturing and compliance to international railway standards: AAR/49 CFR; UIC/EN. 2. Quality control including static and dynamic testing, international certifications and manufacturer Technical Corporation with global brands for subassemblies. 3. Recommend technical specification for facilities to be supplied for the SGR as per the contract to the manufacturers. 4. Ensure smooth equipment handover to the operator terms within the warranty period including availability and useful of spares as per the project contract. • Pre-shipment inspection of facilities, locomotives and rolling stock facilities in China. 1. Perform static and dynamic tests of container handling equipment, locomotives and rolling stock; checking the performance standards as well as evaluating the quality control tests done by the manufacturers. 2. Evaluation and review of all supporting documentation provided by the manufacturer for the respective equipment. • Installation of maintenance facilities at the locomotives and rolling stock depot, Nairobi Internal container depot. 1. Ensure safe installation, commissioning and operation of track, locomotive and rolling stock maintenance facilities at the workshops. 2. Ensure the facilities are supplied as per contractual specifications. • Monitoring the performance of SGR facilities within a defects liability period of 1 year.
