Primary Function: facilitate a high standard of logistics management in the Haiti emergency response, supporting World Concern Haiti team and capacity building for country program. Supporting, coordinating and directing distribution of GIK, NFIs and food items. Liaising with other players i.e. the military, government officials, UN and aid agencies in coordinating the relief effort in Haiti

Main Function: as a full-time member of the Horn Relief senior management team, I played a crucial role in the review, development (where gaps existed), implementation and enforcement of standard operating procedures and policies for; admin, HR, finance, logistics and security departments for the entire organization’s operations in Kenya and Somalia. This included developing and implementing a capacity building plan for all logistics’ national staff in all offices ensuring effective implementation of policies and systems. I also acted as the focal point for all security related matters in the organization and providing regular security information, conducting security assessments and analyzing received security information and alerting all staff accordingly.
