I bring a demonstrated high level of community organizing as well as facilitation and training skills within the context of building alliances across race, age, gender, sexual orientation, class and other differences. I have extensive experience implementing education and training programs locally, regionally and nationally. I have worked with youth and adults to recruit, engage and support them as participants in workshops and trainings focused on building multiracial/multicultural alliances for justice. I have also conducted and produced Trainings of Trainers supporting participants to develop leadership skills and incorporated those new leaders into the pool of workshop facilitators and trainers. The alliance building process uses the experiences of the participants as a starting place building their understanding of a root cause analysis through exercises, discussion and presentations of theory on uprooting racism, unlearning sexism and other anti-oppression concepts. Having worked in diverse communities for the last 25 years building alliances for justice I have developed a multitude of skills that are transferable.My administrative experience includes supporting and supervising staff, office management; monitoring budgets, grants, equipment and leases; relationship building with foundations including writing grants and grant reports; and fundraising including the development of a major donor program. I am detail oriented and comfortable handling the many and varied tasks it takes to put on camps, workshops, trainings and events. I have excellent computer and other technology skills. I also have excellent communication skills including writing and public speaking.
