I believe every day is a bonus. When I was three years old, I arrived in the US with my mom and two younger brothers. We had nothing except the love of a great family and a dream shared by those that come to this country. “Work hard, earn and education, have faith in God and play by the rules” my parents would tell me, and “you can live the American dream”.As I reflect, and also look ahead, three themes resonate constantly:1. Success is never attained alone – I owe so much to so many who have helped me achieve and who help me carve the path ahead.2. Servant leadership is about service – we get more by giving than asking.3. The arc of the universe does bend toward justice – but we have to push it harder, farther, and faster. My passion, focus and experience centers on:1. The energy transition: More than two decades of experience in numerous energy and sustainability related areas, including ESG, climate action, sustainability, and regulatory issues.2. Diversity and inclusion: Serve on numerous boards with DEI as a core and constant theme of each organization.3. Scaling businesses: Was part of the leadership team that grew a start up to a billion dollar business and one of the largest minority owned businesses in the country.4. Advocacy and public policy: Served in senior leadership roles in the Clinton Administration including twice in the White House, as well as a Senior Advisor to a US Senator. Extensive public communication experience including serving as a CNBC contributor.I am eager to be of service to those that want to seek a more perfect union, a more just society, and a sustainable planet. As an eternal optimist, I believe that there is more that unites us than divides us, and if you agree, would welcome the opportunity to ideate further.
