Secondary upgrading (SUG) process technician

• Responsible for the managing and issuance of permits and safely directing crews performing maintenance in the plant. • Work in a team environment and maintain the highest standards of safety. • Perform diligent and thorough unit checks to identify deficiencies on the equipment. • Troubleshoot and/or submit detailed work requests to mitigate plant deficiencies. • Training and mentor new workers to maintain operational excellence and educate them on our safety culture.• Fully qualified in the hydrogen production (steam methane) unit and in the fuels hydrotreating units (diesel, naphtha and gas oil Hydrotreaters)

• Received, analyzed and input data from field technicians.• Interpreted NDE tests (ultrasonics and radiographic) to determine piping conditions.• Issued detailed isometric drawings for NDE technicians pipe inspections. • Worked with Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.

• Conducted structured and thorough check rounds in the plant.• Actively identifying equipment maintenance issues and arranging preventive maintenance. • Sampling and testing of the boiler feed water. Along with making chemical changes to maintain peak performance in the water treatment unit.• As a self-motivated learner, decided to learn about the steam unit to get familiar with once through boilers and how they operate
