The old phrase, "a computer is only as smart as its user" is more true than ever before. Technology is in our hands everyday but are we truly using it to its full potential? When I started in the technology field I was a Geek Squad agent working with normal people on a daily basis. These people had woe's and angers about their computers but by the end of the session I would almost always have an answer to their question or have showed them something new. This continually brought back these individuals as they learned more about their technology and how it could improve their lives. I've shaped this learning experience and understanding to a larger scale at my firm where we've made leaps and bounds in how we share our knowledge of technology with our associates. The process isn't perfect yet but failing is the greatest teacher and we continue to make improvements everyday. There is certainly much more to learn and much more to teach, and that makes me grateful.
