Current doctoral resident in Clinical Psychology at Denver Health in Denver, Colorado.Enrolled through George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.I am currently a doctoral resident with Denver Health's outpatient behavioral health program. My rotations and specializations include adult mental health issues, addiction recovery, ADHD assessment, corrections, and integrated behavioral health with patients living with infectious disease.My training as a student has involved working with adults in a medical setting as the behavioral health specialist among an integrated healthcare team at Willamette Valley Medical Center. This training involved taking an interpersonal approach to holistic healing, integrating the mind and body. Additionally, I have conducted psychological assessments for LD, ADHD, and ASD; and facilitated individual, group, and crisis counseling to college students at Washington State University and George Fox University in the Pacific Northwest. My research experience includes my work on "The Impacts of Quarantine on Substance Use Behaviors in U.S. Adults," which is my doctoral dissertation research project. Additionally, I was the lead research assistant for the Rural Institute at the University of Montana. This research focused on "the effects of loneliness and social isolation on the aging population," effective intervention strategies to reduce the negative psychological and physical effects that come with loneliness, and the promotion of positive aging beyond retirement (University of Montana Conference on Undergraduate Research award winner).
