As a Character Layout Artist, I am tasked to create tight layouts for scenes on an animated series production by utilizing digital programs such as Photoshop. Studio would provide a clear brief of the scene and expectations for what the scene needs to convey along with tight deadlines to meet for submissions. From there a rough pass would be submitted for approval to proceed with the clean pass. Through this process notes and suggestions are given to push or enhance scenes to bring forth a more concrete idea where the studio feels satisfied with results. End product is a tight drawing following the character model with shadows for dimension. I utilize Adobe Creative suite Photoshop and Illustrator. The Studio provides other supplemental material given to me (ie character model sheets, Show Bible, Expression Sheet, Mouth Chart and more).

As an illustrator I take the prompts or manuscripts from publishing companies and clients to in turn create different concepts for scripts from fleshing out the main character to creating scene with the main character. I have collaborated with the clients in order to reach a final look then add final touches to each story (i.e. character placing, final colors etc.) to submit in a timely matter.As a designer I use graphic design skills to create custom made t-shirts, mugs, mouse pads as it fits customer’s needs.
