I handle the bookkeeping A/R and A/P for the small local water district. Keeper of the files and maps of the district at my home. Research available water rights and documents. And occasionally jump in the ditch for clean annual cleanup! I am paid $15/hour plus any mileage and expenses incurred in the job.

Took over as Treasurer from the previous gal as a strictly volunteer position. She used a 3 yr old quickbooks system that was cumbersome but workable. Three years ago, I convinced the elders to switch to QB online and as we now have a paid employee we source out payroll. That is not my expertise. but basic AP and AR is fine. Filing, answering the phone.

Tried to Retire January 2017. But Circulation Dept. needed help during the snow-pocalypse of 2016/2017, so was re-hired in February part time. Took a long vacation in April and was re-hired in Classified Dept. part time. Enjoying this new schedule! Best of both worlds.
